Grab the Papalote Salsa for $6.99!
I am so excited to share this big news with you. Papalote restaurant (which is my favorite place for burritos and taquitos) is now selling their salsa online and at Wholefoods! I can’t believe it! I have waited for this day for YEARS! Their salsa is the perfect consistency, creamy, tomatoey, and not too spicey or garlicky. Try it and I hope you like it too!

The house with the ~40 foot tree will be dismantling all of its holiday decor soon and this is your last week to catch a glimpse of the holiday house in all its glory. little photo shoot the other morning in our backyard to show you my cool NYE finds. I bought a fitted blazer for only $7 and a shimmery skirt for $12 at Crossroads. My glittery clutch is from Reinvintage in Bernal. I bought it 7 years ago for only $15.

My friend Gonzalo’s restaurant Lalola is having a New Year’s Eve celebration with a special 3 course menu for $45 ($65 for those who come in after 8:30 pm). Most places charge you $50 entrance-only fee on NYE, Lalola is offering you a three course meal along with Sangria, champagne at midnight, and party favors. I bet he’ll have grapes on hand for the Spanish traditional...

I love taking pictures but I have a semi-cheap camera. Now, I have a site that fixes things up (for FREE) and makes every shot look better which comes in handy when I am working on my blog. Picnik helps you make major (or minor) changes to a photo. It is also holiday-friendly and you can photoshop holiday graphics or text into your picture.

Snack and cake table. Found frame above the table at Scrap (for $2) and canvas at Big Lots (2 for $6). I painted Rio’s name using Comic-style font.
The thick linen curtain was free at Scrap and I spent $6 on a glue gun and felt (also at Scrap). I used our kitchen curtain rod to hang it up in the living room.
I hung up streamers and a honeycomb pom-pom with same superhero colors...

Rio’s very first movie! I highly recommend Tangled (it got 87% on rottentomatoes which is a good sign). It was the perfect thing to do on a rainy morning during our trip to Monterey, CA. Century theatres charge $6 for the first showing of the day (perfect when you have a little one that naps by 1 pm).
