What do all of these things have in common?
These are all part of a long New Year’s Eve tradition that will keep you busy for the entire evening. So top off a glass of champagne and get started!

First off: you need a friend or significant other to buy you pair of underwear (they have to be a gift and you can let your friend know what color you prefer, you must not buy them yourself). Different colors mean different things for the new year. Yellow=money, Red=love, Purple=passion, Green=personal self-growth. Next, grab a pair of old shoes and chuck them. Throwing out an old pair of shoes will bring good fortune in the new year. On New Year’s Eve, before getting ready to go out, boil some water, throw in some roses and pour some honey into the mix. You can bathe in this water or just toss over you in the shower, this is known to bring good luck in the new year. You can always skip this process and just buy soap made with roses and honey. Last, sweep up the kitchen to sweep away all the negative vibes from year’s past and open the windows to let out the bad energy. All of these rituals are really meant to get you in the mindset of letting go of the old and bringing in a fresh and positive start to the new year, Cheers!
